According to the Lexington Herald Leader, The Kentucky Historical Society paid $19,800 for the earrings in 2008.

The show features jewelry ranging from the Edwardian to the Art Deco periods. including this pair of emerald and diamond earrings from the Victorian era (see photo). The earrings boast 11 tcw of emeralds and 2.1 tcw of diamonds set in silver and 14 karat gold.
